INTER STATS | Skriniar's 150th game and Lautaro's grit
Team
— Feb 3rd 2021The Nerazzurri were defeated in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final
MILAN - It wasn’t a fortunate night for the Nerazzurri. The first leg of the semi-final was marred by two moments of madness, which allowed Juve to take a 2-1 win away from San Siro.
Conte’s side will need to turn it around in the second leg of the semi-final. In order to reach the final, Inter will need to:
- win by two goals; - win by one goal and score three or more.
In their 15 trips to Turin in the Coppa Italia, Inter have won on four occasions: 2-1 in 1975 (Facchetti and Boninsegna), 1-0 in 1977 (o.g. Gentile), 3-0 in 1996 (Zamorano, Ince, Djorkaeff), 3-2 in 2008 (Balotelli, Cruz, Balotelli).
The last time that Inter were beaten in the Coppa Italia at San Siro by Juventus was in 1992 (2-1, Roberto Baggio brace in extra time).
SKRINIAR, 150 APPEARANCES FOR INTER
Against Juventus, Milan Skriniar made his 150th appearance in an Inter shirt in all competitions. The Slovakian defender, in his fourth season at the Club, has played 121 times in the league and scored six goals, ten appearances in the Coppa Italia, 15 in the Champions League and four in the Europa League.
LAUTARO... ON FIRE
Lautaro has carried on his good run of form, following on from his goal against Benevento with one to his name against Juventus. “El Toro” has played an important role in three of Inter’s last four goals, scoring two himself and getting one assist. This was the attacker’s second goal scored at San Siro against Juventus: last season in Serie A he scored from the penalty spot, at the same end.
So far in 2021, Lautaro has netted five goals, catching up with Lukaku to be the best striker of the new year.
THERE’S NO STOPPING BARELLA
Fiery and uncompromising, as ever, Nicolò Barella has yet again left his mark against Juventus. In Serie A he had provided an assist for Vidal and scored the second goal of the 2-0 victory. In the Coppa Italia match the centre midfielder got another nice assist.
