The Brazilian defender born in ’96 arrives at the Nerazzurre after two seasons with Bordeaux

MILAN - Kathellen Sousa has officially signed for Inter Women, the Brazilian national defender joining the Nerazzurre from Football Club des Girondins de Bordeaux.

Sousa’s first steps in the football world came on the futsal pitch in her hometown of São Vicente. She moved to the United States at the age of 18, spending two seasons playing for Monroe College. She then joined the University of Louisville and concluded her academic and footballing journey in America at UCF Orlando. In 2018, she signed her first professional contract in France, where she spent two seasons playing for Bordeaux.

Sousa received her first call-up to the Brazilian Senior National Team in June 2018, representing her country at the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France.
