Inter review | The Top - 10 Nerazzurri goals from 2020
Team
— Dec 27th 2020108 goals in 51 games, here are the ten best
Inter’s 2020 ended against Verona. It was a long year that started on 6 January with the 3-1 win in Naples and finished in a similar manner at the Bentegodi. 51 games, lockdown, Serie A football in summer, the Europa League finals, the new season. This year has been largely anomalous and saw Inter score with incredible regularity: 108 total goals scored, for a final average of 2.1 per game. Inter equalled their record for most goals in a single calendar year since 1929/30. The 108-goal mark has now been reached on three occasions: 1961, 2007 and 2020.
The Nerazzurri’s top goalscorer in 2020 was Lukaku, who bagged 35 goals in 47 games. It was certainly a year to remember for the Belgian, who was the top scorer in European competitions – international football included. No player scored more goals in UEFA competitions in 2020 than Romalu: 16 between the Champions League (4), Europa League (7) and the Nations League with Belgium (5).
