Bergomi remains Inter’s youngest debutant, and he went on to have a long and wonderful career in the Nerazzurri shirt, which became a second skin for him. He scored 28 goals in 756 appearances and won a long list of trophies during a career which, over the years, saw him become a real leader and icon, a defender with determination and quality, and a World Champion with Italy having not even turned 19 years old.
In 2020, Bergomi followed in the footsteps of two other legends in Giacinto Facchetti and Javier Zanetti as he was inducted into the Inter Hall of Fame. The Club and the Nerazzurri fans would like to wish him all the best on his birthday.
