KYIV – 24 hours ahead of Inter’s fixture against Shakhtar Donetsk on matchday two of the UEFA Champions League, Lautaro Martinez held a joint press conference with Antonio Conte. This is what the Argentine striker had to say:
If you could, would you stay with Inter for the whole of your career? “I work every day to improve and to do well for the Club and for the team, and I’m happy. We always train to win, with the aim being to take Inter as high as possible. I can tell you that I’m happy to be here and I’d like to thank all the fans for the warmth they’ve shown me, and the same goes for all those who work for Inter.”
After coming off in Genoa, you were slightly angry. Did you react in this way because you didn’t manage to play the game you intended? “Yes, I was angry with myself because I hadn’t played the game I wanted to play. When I came off, I reacted on the spur of the moment, but today I’m content and ready for another game.”
