Sharpshooter Lautaro: "We want to finish as strongly as we possibly can"

MILAN - After coming on in the 60th minute, Lautaro Martinez sealed the win for Inter with a beautiful strike. It was his 19th this season in all competitions and his 14th in Serie A. And most impressively, it was his fourth of the season from outside the box: no Inter player has done better in a single season in this regard since Ibrahimovic in 2008/09 (six). 

After Cagliari and Torino, Napoli are the third team against whom Lautaro has scored home and away. At this point, Napoli are becoming one of El Toro's favourite victims: tonight's goal is his third in four Serie A matches against the Partenopei. After the final whistle, he gave his thoughts on tonight's match: "After beating Genoa we told ourselves that we want to win to hold on to second place. Of course, we know that another team have already got their hands on the Scudetto, but we want to finish as strongly as we possibly can in the league."

"Is this my best goal in Italy? I also scored a great one in Madrid in a friendly last year, and my goals against Dortmund and Slavia Prague were pretty nice too. It's hard to rank them, but of course this one was a peach. This win stands us in good stead for the match against Atalanta. We'll keep at it in the next two days so that we go into that game in top form, ready to win and retain our position in the league."
