MILAN – Inter picked up their twelfth league victory on the road this season against Genoa yesterday. The Nerazzurri scored three goals to secure the win, allowing them to move up to 76 points in Serie A. In our Twitter poll, it was possible for you to choose who you thought was Inter’s best performer at the Ferraris.
Four players were in the running, starting with Romelu Lukaku: the Belgian striker bagged a brace and has now scored 23 goals in Serie A this campaign, meaning he now sits third in the all-time goalscoring chats for an Inter player in their debut season. Second, there was Alexis Sanchez, who made it 2-0 and has now been involved in ten goals since the restart (three goals and seven assists). Victor Moses was also in contention, while the fourth player in our poll was Andrea Ranocchia, who put in a high-quality performance. This is backed up by the numbers: the Italian defender made three tackles, five clearances and three interceptions, while he managed to reclaim possession for Inter on ten occasions.
Inter fans have chosen their MVP: Romelu Lukaku was the winner with 65% of the vote. Following his brace at the Ferraris, the Belgian forward has netted 15 away goals in the league.
