MILAN – Unconventional, irresistible, a champion. Samuel Eto’o dazzled Inter fans for two years and won a place in the Nerazzurri fans’ hearts thanks to his class, commitment, sacrifice and his decisive ability. A born winner.
Samuel Eto’o made his contribution to the Triplete 2010 in numerous ways: playing as an out-and-out striker, a left winger and an emergency fullback when necessary. But the Lion King never lost his predatory instinct, Livorno remember that and so do we.

Inter vs. Livorno on 24 March 2010 was, first and foremost, the game in which Cristian Chivu returned to the pitch, 77 days after his terrible head injury. However, it was also a must-win game for Inter to keep their Serie A title challenge alive following their victories over Chelsea in the Champions League round of 16. Milito was on the bench and Mourinho chose Pandev and Quaresma to accompany Eto’o up top.
It was the Cameroonian striker’s show between the 36th and 41st minute: first, he scored with a right-footed beauty having cut inside and fired one past Rubinho into the side netting. Then came his masterpiece, the bicycle kick: Quaresma to Pandev, who crossed one into the area, then Eto’o acrobatically smashed it home to make it 2-0. It was Maicon who then sealed the match with a third goal for Inter in the second half, a great 3-0 win.
