MILAN – Cristiano Biraghi has Inter running through his veins. He’s been an Inter fan since he was a child and he worked hard through the youth teams before making his Inter debut in 2010/11 with two appearances in the Champions League. More than nine years later, he’s scored his first goal for the Nerazzurri. His left-footed strike, deflected off Terziev, brought the score level at 1-1 before Lukaku sealed the win against Ludogorets as Inter progressed into the round of 16.
After the match, he spoke to Inter TV about his emotions: “I’m happy, I’ve dreamed of this moment since I was a child. I dedicate this goal to my wife and children. I’m really happy for the win and for qualifying.”
He then commented on Sunday’s match against Juventus: “We know what awaits us and we’ll face it with the upmost concentration while also maintaining composure and not putting ourselves under unnecessary pressure. We know it’ll be played behind closed doors: with the crowd it would be different, but it’s also a huge game and we’ll find the motivation.”
