Primavera TIM Cup, Inter 1 - 2 Frosinone
Youth Sector
— Dec 18th 2019Nerazzurri eliminated at the last 16 stage of the Primavera TIM Cup
MILAN- It was a disappointing afternoon at the Suning Youth Development Centre where Frosinone beat the Nerazzurri 2-1 to make the quarter-finals of the Primavera Tim Cup. Armando Madonna’s Inter will next be in action against Atalanta for the matchday 13 fixture in the league.
The Nerazzurri started the game well and went ahead 15 minutes in thanks to a Mulattieri goal with the no.11 finishing from a perfect Vergani aerial knockdown. In the 23d minute, a good Oristanio effort across goal went just the wrong side of the post. Chances became fewer as time went on, with Inter finishing the first half ahead thanks to that Samuele Mulattieri goal.
The second half started in the worst way possible with Vitalucci breaking through in attacking midfield before beating Stankovic with a left-foot strike to equalise. Inter looked to respond through Vergani and Oristanio chances but Trovato did well to deal with both. In the 75th minute, Frosinone completed the comeback with Vitalucci chipping Stankovic. Armando Madonna’s side went in search of an equaliser but it didn’t come as Frosinone won 2-1 to progress to the quarter-finals.
