MILAN - San Siro’s brand-new Sky Box was used for the first time in the game against Parma. The new box has been designed to welcome special guests for Inter’s league home games and was opened in collaboration with Volvo, the Official Car of FC Internazionale Milano.
Thanks to the project called Football Therapy, run in collaboration with the oncological paediatrics at the Cancer Institute in Milan and the Maria Letizia Verga Centre, children undergoing treatment in both departments will now be welcomed to the stadium to watch games live.
FC Internazionale Milano Vice President Javier Zanetti said the following: “These are projects that will form part of our history, part of our DNA, projects which make our fans proud to support this Club. The faces of the children we’re welcoming show the beauty of this initiative.”
Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello added: “Our Club is involved in a range of social projects and this one which we’ve just started at San Siro is an initiative aimed at supporting these youngsters facing a particularly difficult period of their young lives. Special thanks to all of the medical staff who we’re working with.”
Fabio Flori, Corporate Sales Director at Volvo Italia, underlined: “It’s an honour for Volvo as a company to be working alongside FC Internazionale Milano in such important social projects.”
