APPIANO GENTILE - A day ahead of Udinese vs. Inter at the Dacia Arena with kick-off at 20:30 CEST, Milan Skriniar spoke to DAZN: "My future is here at Inter, I want to continue here. The fans often jokingly ask me to change my name but they’re used to it now."
Skriniar is looking to stay fully focused on the match with Udinese: "We can wrap things up quickly, three wins will secure Champions League football. It won’t be easy in Udine because it’s an important game for them but it is for us as well and we’re going there to win."
This season, Skriniar is still yet find the net. "I’m sorry about it and I miss scoring, I’m trying and will keep trying in the last four games."
The seasons has pitted him against many quality strikers. "I don’t know who’s the best. Ronaldo is very quick and then there are those who fight for every ball. This year, Dzeko was the hardest to mark as he’s very strong physically."
Skriniar was then asked to build the perfect defender. "Van Dijk’s marking, Koulibaly’s heading, the playing out from the back of my teammate Stefan De Vri." How about Skriniar in one-on-ones? That’s up to those who judge me, we’ll put Sergio Ramos otherwise."
Attention then turned to the start of his career in Italy. "I always have to thank Marco Giampaolo because he always put his trust in me at Sampdoria, even after I made mistakes. I never expected to have a career like this, I always dreamed of playing at a big club like Inter. I now know that I can still improve a lot."
