TOLENTINO - Following recent earthquakes in Marche, the team that is formed of Suning, FC Internazionale Milano with the support of ManpowerGroup and the Centro Sportivo Italiano is ready to take action to further support reconstruction efforts.
The aim of the ‘Un Gol per Ripartire’ [a goal to start again] campaign that was established a year ago is to allow for a rebirth of social and sporting activity in the area through activities dedicated to young people.
On Friday 20th April at the Stadio della Vittoria in Tolentino, the new Multi-sport Facility will be opened after it was donated to the town following the efforts of Suning, FC Internazionale Milano and CSI. At 17:30 CEST, the Inter Forever team made up of legends will take on a ‘Un gol per ripartire’ side. The Nerazzurri players will be Javier Zanetti, Sebastien Frey, Alessandro Bianchi, Giuseppe Baresi, Marco Materazzi, Fabio Galante, Dario Morello, Fausto Pizzi, Aparecido Cesar, Mattia Altobelli, Nicola Napolitano along with Francesco Moriero and Paolo Stringara who feature for the first time. Inter Forever Director Francesco Toldo will also coach the team.
Also in Tolentino, at 9:30 CEST on Saturday 21st April, the Impianto Sportivo Polivalente will officially be opened after it was built thanks to help from Suning, FC Internazionale Milano and CSI. The tensile structure on Via Vittorio Veneto will be able to host basketball, futsal and volleyball in order to help to revitalise an urban area that was very badly affected by the earthquake. Tolentino’s 20,000 inhabitants will be able to make use of it after 5,000 of them were left homeless by the earthquake and people from neighbouring communities can also use it.
In supporting this project that began on 1st April 2017, Inter’s Official HR Partner Manpower Group will play the biggest role. The multinational company will help with various initiatives, the most significant of which is the donation of a defibrillator to the council in Tolentino while also providing educational courses on how to use it.
"We’re honoured to be involved in this important initiative," said Francesco Toldo. "It’s always moving to play for such important causes, we hope to be able to provide an afternoon of fun for the people and we hope that the inauguration of the sports centre represents a new start for this area."
CEO of the ManpowerGroup Riccardo Barberis also spoke about the event: "Security and talent are what drive us in giving support for this important initiative for Tolentino that are friends from FC Internazionale Milano are joining us on. Apart from the knowledge that there can be no sporting events or parties without adequate security, we believe that we can recognise and utilise talent as a base for personal and societal development. Because of this, among the various initiatives, we also decided to dedicate a prize for two young people who are so passionate for sport and football with a summer camp organised by Inter."
