D'Ambrosio: "Determination, humility, compactness and the will to win"

MILAN - Danilo D’Ambrosio was interviewed by Inter TV. "In the week ahead of the derby, we’re preparing in the way that you prepare for a derby. We’re training seriously as we’ve done since the start of the year but the tension ahead of this match isn’t like other games."

The side are going into the game following the win against Benevento. "To be heading into the derby after a win allows you to train better and with a smile. This is the main characteristic of a derby, it makes you train with more intensity for a match that we absolutely need to win."

The last win saw Inter go fourth while AC Milan are yet to lose in 2018 and they’ve beaten both Roma and Lazio. "Milan are going through a great period of form and they’ve had some great results but in these matches, it’s not the system or players that make a difference but how much desire a team has and on Sunday night we must be more determined and hungry than Milan." 

There are other important fixtures on the same weekend as the derby. "It’s an extra motivation, we need to do our part and think about getting the three points and then we can hope that one of the others slips up. What needs to be on display? "Lots of determination, humility and compactness but the will to win above all else."
