APPIANO GENTILE - Speaking to Mediaset Premium today, DanielePadelli discussed all things Nerazzurri: “Securing three points always breeds enthusiasm. It was a strange period for us but we hope that this latest victory will now put us back on the right track. We know that we are at a crucial point of the season and that we are on course for our objective. We must do more and we must keep putting in the work. The league in Italy is very tough and you must always be at 100 percent. You go through positive and negative moments, but we’ve always remained at that level. I know that every match is a story in itself, therefore, we take it game by game. We have just one goal to focus on in the league and we must use this to our advantage.”
As for their next match against Genoa, the shot-stopper had this to say: “We have a few people missing but whoever features must always be ready, which is something that we’ve seen in our last few matches. It is always a difficult game at the Marassi, but we’ve prepared well. It is not beneficial to air your dirty laundry in public, but I’ve not seen all of the problems that have been discussed by others. Maybe someone from the outside knows more than us. We don’t listen to what happens outside, but obviously someone likes to talk about things that don’t exist.
“You must work harder when you are not playing very often. I am ready to take my chance. Eder, Kara and Ranocchia are all already at the top. We wear this important shirt and we must always honour it, not only on Sundays. Rafinha? He is a good lad. He shows desire and quality out on the pitch and he will give us a real helping hand. As for goalkeepers across Italy, Handanovic, Alisson, Buffon and Gomis are all impressive, but Handanovic is out in front. We are a solid group and we’ll fight right until the very end to get into the Champions League. Our history demands this of us.”
