MILAN - The Nerazzurri will be looking to secure all three points when they take on Bologna at 15:00 CET on Sunday at San Siro. In collaboration with Opta, here are all the stats that you need to know prior to the match.
There have been a total of 141 previous meetings between the two sides in Serie A, with Inter coming out on top on 67 occasions (only Roma have picked up more wins with 72), compared to Bologna’s 39 wins. There have also been 35 draws.
Inter are unbeaten in their last seven Serie A matches against Bologna and have won three of these.
Six of the last eight Inter goals against Bologna have been scored by either Mauro Icardi (four) or Ivan Perisic (two). Meanwhile, Antonio Candreva’s next league appearance will be No. 300 in Serie A. He has so far scored 54 goals and provided 50 assists - 18 of which have come during his time with Inter, which is at least two more than any other Serie A player during that same period.
Mauro Icardi has scored four goals in his last five Serie A matches against Bologna. He is still one goal away from his 100th in Serie A, although he has been unable to find the back of the net during his last two appearances. He has yet to go three games without scoring during any campaign in his career. Interestingly, with three goals in six matches, Bologna is the team who Danilo D'Ambrosio has scored most against in Serie A.
Rodrigo Palacio will be coming up against one of his old teams on Sunday, having previously spent five years at Inter from 2012 to 2017. During this period he made 140 league appearances and scored 39 goals. The Rossoblu attacker has scored twice against Inter as an opponent, both coming for Genoa at San Siro.
Andrea Poli also played for Inter during the 2011-12 campaign, making 18 Nerazzurri appearances in Serie A.
As for other familiar Nerazzurri faces, there will also be Ibrahima Mbaye (four Serie A appearances in 2014-15) and Lorenzo Crisetig, with the latter coming through the Inter youth ranks. He never made his first-team league debut for the club but did make one appearance in the Champions League against CSKA Moscow in 2011.
