The Primavera boss shares his thoughts after Inter's last-gasp equaliser: "A massive draw because it shows we can dig deep. We deserved it on the balance of play"

CHIAVARI – Stefano Vecchi expressed his satisfaction with Inter's resilience after they fought back from a goal down to earn a point against Virtus Entella with the last kick of the game.

"It's a massive draw for us because it shows we can dig deep and underlines our determination not to lose,” the U19 coach commented after Saturday's 1-1 draw in Chiavari.

"I think we deserved at least a draw on the balance of play. We knew Virtus would be tricky customers and we found it hard in the first half but then we pushed on in the second and managed to get the draw by playing with great desire.

“I understand it's a tough for Entella to take but if you look at the 90 minutes as a whole 1-1 was a fair scoreline.”

The man who grabbed the all-important goal was Axel Bakayoko, who came on as a half-time substitute.

Vecchi added: "He's a key player for us. He's had a few fitness issues recently and he only resumed full training with the rest of the team this week."
