Stefano Pioli's men claim the triangular tournament in Southern Spain in their first outing of 2017

LA LINEA

- Inter got 2017 off to a great start with victory in the Marbella Trophy, a triangular tournament featuring Real Balompedica Linense and Marbella Futbol Club.

Stefano Pioli's side met hosts Real Balompedica Linense in their first match, after the latter had lost on penalties in the opening game of the tournament. The side from Andalusia took the lead early on after Chico caught out Handanovic with a lob. After a host of chances, Inter levelled from a corner, Murillo tapping home after Godino had denied D'Ambrosio.

Just before the half-hour mark, Rubio restored the hosts' lead from 12 yards after Andreolli was penalised for a foul on Joe. The Nerazzurri equalised once again through Murillo, before celebrating victory courtesy of a fine finish from Gabriel Barbosa.

The deadlock was broken by Inter's opponents in the second match too, as Marbella's Okoye drilled past Carrizo at his near post on 16 minutes.

Inter were made to wait but finally levelled at the death after Perisic latched onto Ansaldi's through ball and beat Bernabe to secure the trophy for Inter despite Marbella winning the match on penalties.
