Zanetti appointed to Organising Committee for FIFA Competitions

MILAN - Javier Zanetti has been appointed as a member of the Organising Committee for FIFA Competitions.

For the next four years, together with the other members of the committee – chaired by Aleksander Ceferin – the Nerazzurri vice president will help to oversee the organisation of FIFA competitions, advising and assisting the FIFA Council on all related matters.

David Chung and Maria Sol Munoz have been named as deputy chairman and deputy chairwoman respectively.

"I'm extremely proud to take up this prestigious position,” Zanetti commented. “First and foremost, I'd like to thank Inter: if I've been handed this role it's partly because the club has always shown so much faith in me.

“The new career path I'm on is a challenging one but it's also very rewarding. Being a part of the Inter family is extremely important to me and now I hope to be able to offer a significant contribution to the Organising Committee for FIFA Competitions too.”
