The Lega Serie A has officially confirmed the date and time of the 2022/23 EA Sports Supercoppa Italiana: Milan vs. Inter will be held at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday 18 January 2023, with kick-off scheduled for 22.00 local time (20.00 CET). The game will be shown live on Canale 5.
Inter, the current Coppa Italia holders, will face Milan in a derby showdown where the first trophy of the 2022/23 campaign will be up for grabs. The Nerazzurri will be aiming to defend the title they won at San Siro earlier this year after beating Juventus.
It will be the 35th edition of the Supercoppa and the twelfth time it has taken place outside of Italy. Inter are set to fight for the trophy for the eleventh time in their history. Thanks to last season’s triumph, the Nerazzurri have won it on six occasions.
MATCH REGULATIONS: If at the end of 90 minutes the game finishes as a draw, there will be two 15-minute halves of extra-time played. If no team wins the game outright after extra-time, the match will then be decided by a penalty shootout.
