Stramaccioni 1-0 Vermezovic

Inter's 1-0 victory in the first meeting between these two sides two weeks ago is the only previous head to head between coaches Vermezovic and Stramaccioni.

Inter gunning for 10th win in a row, away from home and overall

Inter have won their last nine competitive fixtures, in Serie A against ChievoVerona (0-2 away), Fiorentina (2-1 at home), AC Milan (0-1 away), Catania (2-0 at home), Bologna (1-3 away), Sampdoria (3-2 at home) and Juventus (1-3 away), and in the Europa League against Neftçi (1-3 away) and Partizan Belgrade (1-0 at home). The last time the Nerazzurri failed to win was on 23 September, a 0-2 home defeat to Siena in Serie A. Stramaccioni's side have also claimed victory in their last nine away matches: against Hajduk Split and Vaslui (0-3 and 0-2 respectively in the Europa League), Pescara, Torino and Chievo Verona (0-3, 0-2 and 0-2 in Serie A), Neftchi Baku (1-3 in the Europa League), AC Milan, Bologna and Juventus (0-1, 1-3 and 1-3 in Serie A). The last time the Nerazzurri didn't win on the road was in the 3-1 defeat to Lazio on 13 May (Serie A). So far Inter have won every single away match in 2012/13.

Nerazzurri on target in last 12 away games

Inter have scored at least once in each of their last 12 competitive fixtures on the road, racking up 27 goals in the process. The last time they failed to hit the back of the net in an away fixture was on 22 April, when they were held to a 0-0 draw at Fiorentina.

BELGRADE - Inter sealed their place in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 with two games to spare. Rodrigo Palacio grabbed himself a double after coming off the bench before Fredy Guarin made it three late on: Partizan were beaten 1-3. It was the Nerazzurri's tenth victory on the spin in all games and also their tenth consecutive away win - a new club record.

The first half finished goalless thanks to Handanovic, who kept the scores level with two top-class saves from Ivanov in the space of a minute, proving once again how important he is for this team. After the restart, having rode their luck a little with Juan Jesus almost inadvertently succeeding where Ivanov failed, Inter took the lead thanks to Palacio, the Argentine well placed to chest home Guarin's powerful cross. Partizan intensified their efforts and sought an equaliser but Handanovic kept the door shut. With 75 minutes on the clock Palacio made it 0-2, latching onto Guarin's through ball and sprinting towards goal before beating Petrovic with a neat angled finish. Guarin twice the provider, Palacio twice the finisher. Inter weren't in the mood for sitting on the lead though, and with three minutes to go Guaro added his own name to the score sheet after collecting Cassano's through ball, with Palacio involved in the build-up. Tomic scored a consolation goal for Partizan in the last minute of normal time.

Stramaccioni's side now sit on 10 points, level with Rubin Kazan and their place in the knockout stage is certain. All that remains to be decided is who will qualify as group winners: Rubin Kazan v Inter in two weeks' time may well settle the matter.
