Inter beat Torino away from home thanks to three unanswered goals in the second half and are top of the league at the time of writing and for the time being. These are three vital points following a tight and cagey first half. Then, it was all Inter in the second half. The injury to Schuurs and Inzaghi's changes led to total Inter dominance from the tenth minute of the second half. There were very few chances in the first 45 minutes, though Torino ended the half the better of the two teams and put Inter under pressure. Then, after the break, it all changed. Dumfries, with virtually his first kick off the ball after coming off the bench, set up Thuram for the opener; Tikus scored his third goal of the season with an accurate effort into the corner.
Torino didn't have the strength to recover and Inter soon had a second. Calhanoglu swung in the corner, it was flicked on by Acerbi and finished by Lautaro with his head. 11 goals in nine league games for El Toro this season. That was more than Torino could handle and Inter began to control the game, even coming close to a third on a few occasions. The third did come in stoppage time as Calhanoglu scored from the spot. Inzaghi's side are now on 22 points and preparing for Tuesday's game against FC Salzburg in the Champions League.
