Tiago Tomás Palacios was born in General Pico, La Pampa province, Argentina, on 28 April 2003 and started playing for hometown team Club Atlético Costa Brava before joining Talleres in 2019. Having arrived at the Córdoba-based outfit at the tender age of 17, Palacios quickly started training with the first team, going on to make his professional debut against Defensa y Justicia in the Copa de la Liga in 2022. His performances earned him a call-up to Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 side. He has played five times for his country in youth football, starting at the South American Games.
After eight appearances for Talleres, he moved to Independiente Rivadavia (Mendoza) on loan in January 2024. He went on to 16 appearances for club in the Primera División, Copa de la Liga and Copa Argentina.
Palacios is a physical left-footed centre-back and stands tall at 1.96m. Now, at the age of 21, Tomás is joining Inter and becomes the 52nd Argentinian player in the Club’s history, bolstering the strong link between the Nerazzurri and the South American nation.
