Thuram: "Every match at San Siro is special"

“We wanted three points and got them. I helped the team win and am happy, and we’ll enjoy the victory with our fans. The three points are the most important thing. It’s always a pleasure to score in front of our supporters, and it was a brilliant evening for us. Every game at San Siro is special. It’s an incredible stadium, and I’m happy to be playing here. I came to Inter and got down to work. My aim is to help my teammates, and beyond whether I score or provide assists, winning is the most important thing.”

“I’d like to thank the Coach for the opportunities he’s giving me. I’m happy and want to continue to work hard. The Coach has asked me to get the team moving. Calhanoglu is one of the best deep-lying playmakers in the world, and I’m making great strides forward alongside him. I admire him and want to keep it up. My pass? I like switching play and saw Dimarco in space. He then controlled it well. I’ve put in the hard work in the past year and a half and feel like I’ve improved. We all want to play and have a really strong midfield. I’ve always felt the Club’s confidence in me, and I’m delighted to be here with these lads. I came back from the international break after playing two full matches for my national team. This is something that helps me a lot; it gives me more confidence, and, at international level, there’s a dream we’re hoping to achieve. ”

I’ve played in many positions – it depends on the system that we use – but I feel comfortable in my current role. I’ve grown defensively and am trying to be a bit stronger in duels and help the defence. This year, we’re paying more attention to not losing our composure. We’re working really well, and the atmosphere is very positive. We’re all focused on our objectives. ”
