Lautaro scores in stoppage time to secure the Nerazzurri's eighth Supercoppa Italiana title!

Inter have won the Supercoppa Italiana for the eighth time in their history! Napoli’s resistance was finally broken in stoppage time, with Lautaro bagging in the 91st minute to secure the Nerazzurri’s first trophy of 2024. A triumph that Inzaghi’s men desperately wanted and which arrived following a difficult match against a defensively-minded Partenopei side who were reduced to ten men on the hour mark after Simeone’s sending off.

Although they didn’t quite repeat their dazzling display against Lazio and lacked precision at times, the Nerazzurri kept on pushing and got their reward in added time as El Toro struck. A year on from their last Supercoppa victory in Riyadh, Inter are celebrating again.
