We’ve made a lot of sacrifices but always worked in a positive manner and never with any negativity. This group is incredible, and we’re like a family. Those who have followed us know that this is the case and have seen how we’ve always kept smiling. Now, we should enjoy this unforgettable moment. With the help of the Coach and technical staff, I needed to try and play in my current position and believe in what I could do there. Simone Inzaghi’s secret is that he treats everyone equally and he’s open with us. He constantly talks to us and is always calm and positive. I think this has been the best season of my career.”

We need to carry on working in this manner. Celebrating a triumph in front of our amazing supporters is always fantastic, and the fans have always shown how much care for us. We’ve now somewhat repaid their affection. I think that, starting from the Coach and the staff, the cohesion of this group is vital. When we play, we try to implement the things we’ve done on the training pitch during the week, always working with the right desire and determination. The whole period before and after the Supercoppa made us realise that we could emerge victorious: we put our foot on the accelerator in decisive fashion.”
