Salernitana 0 - 4 Inter: Lautaro with a brilliant four - goal haul

There was a before and after Lautaro. There was a before and after the Nerazzurri captain scored four goals in 35 minutes on an extraordinary night in Salerno, where Inter ran out 4-0 winners at the Arechi. Without a doubt, it was one of his most incredible evenings since he started wearing the Nerazzurri shirt. The Argentine has become the first player to score four goals as a substitute in a single Serie A match.

Inzaghi's men started brightly as they looked to bag an early goal, creating five chances in the opening ten minutes. The first two fell to Thuram, who saw one of his efforts tipped over by Ochoa. Then, Sanchez and Dumfries both had attempts at goal. The early siege, however, didn't result in any goals and, having survived the Nerazzurri onslaught, Salernitana gained in confidence, with Cabral firing narrowly off target. The second half started with a tame effort from Kastanos, and then the Lautaro show began in the 62nd minute. First, the Argentinian produced a lovely dink to finish off Thuram's assist. El Toro then got on the end of a Barella cross to make it 2-0 after a flowing move that Dumfries had started. Minute 84: Thuram was brought down in the box and the No.10 stepped up to convert the resulting penalty. El Toro's fourth then arrived four minutes later as he swept home Carlos Augusto's pull-back. It was a stunning performance from the captain, who continued his brilliant form and once again displayed all his leadership qualities.

Three important points for Inter, then, who remain at the top of the table alongside AC Milan on 18 points.
