— Dec 3rd 2023Inter extraordinary against Napoli: 3-0 secured by goals from Calhanoglu, Barella and Thuram. A show of strength, magnificent goals, and top of the table with a great all-round performance. Sommer opened the night of incredible action with a series of great saves. The game was lively, both sides were in on the action and finding chances. Inter grew ever more dangerous as the minutes passed by and found the opener in the 44th minute with a spellbinding shot from Calhanoglu outside the box.
Inter started off strong in the second half, but also have to thank Sommer for his efforts to deny Kvaratskhelia. Barella doubled the lead in the 61st minute with an exceptional run in the area, shaking off the opposition defence to make it 2-0. Napoli started to break down, leaving spaces that Inter didn’t hesitate to fill. After losing De Vrij in the first half, Inzaghi was also forced to substitute off Dumfries. But his replacement, Cuadrado, got the assist for Thuram’s goal that made it 3-0 in the dying minutes: a low cross from the right and Tikus’ arrived right on time. Victory for Inter who move back to the top of the table.
