Lautaro Martinez has now scored nine goals in the Champions League for Inter as he starred on the night against Benfica to send his side into the semi-finals of the Champions League. El Toro scored one goal and set up another to earn himself the MVP title from the game at San Siro. Here's what he had to say after the game:
“We're really happy. We're proud to represent this great Club. I'm really pleased for my family and want to send my love to my brother, who has injured his knee. This goal was for him. The goal? Football is all about moments; sometimes it goes in and sometimes it doesn't. I'm pleased to have scored today and to have helped the team. I scored thanks to them. I'm pleased with my performance and that of my teammates. The derby? It's a special game. We know what it means to play in a game like that. We now need to pick up some points in the league and then we'll think about the Champions League. I play to win it all; we're in the semi-final now, an aim that we've reached all together. The Club deserves this. I want to thank the fans for their constant support.”
