MILANO - Following the international break, Inter return back to action with a big match against Juventus. The Nerazzurri take on the Bianconeri for matchday 13 in Serie A on Sunday 26 November at 20:45 CET in Turin.
CURRENT FORM
This is the first time in Serie A history that Inter and Juventus have met each other with at least 29 points each before matchday 14. The two teams have not faced each other in first and second place in the table, respectively, in Serie A since 6 October 2019, matchday 7 on that occasion.
NUMBERS AT THE BREAK
Inter have won ten of their twelve league matches this season (1D, 1L); in Serie A, only twice have the Nerazzurri managed to collect eleven wins in their opening 13 games of a single season: in 1950/51 and in 2019/20. Top of the table with 31 points, Inter, in addition to being the team that has won the most matches, are the team to have scored the most number of goals (29), conceded the fewest (six) and collected the most cleans sheets (eight). The Nerazzurri have won all of their last six away games in Serie A and have not done better away from home since a run of seven consecutive victories between September and November 2019; this is the Nerazzurri's longest streak of away victories in the competition.
GOALSCORING DEFENDERS
There have been 5 goals scored by Nerazzurri defenders so far this season in Serie A: Inter are the team to have scored the most in the tournament, together with Juventus. Scoring last time out in Serie A, Federico Dimarco is one of only two defenders in Europe's top-five leagues to have scored at least two goals and provided two assists in each of the last four seasons (since 2020/21). With 25 chances created, the Nerazzurri number 32 is the defender to have sent a teammate through to shoot most times this league campaign.
GOALS, NUMBERS AND TOPPING THE CHARTS
The 29 goals scored by Inter in the league certify the best attack in the competition and twelve of these bear the signature of Lautaro Martinez, Serie A's top scorer. El Toro has scored 26 goals in an Inter shirt in Serie A in 2023. With five assists, Marcus Thuram has provided the most assists in this season's Serie A; in Europe's top-five leagues, he finds himself behind only four players: Pedro Neto, Xavi Simons (seven each), Kieran Trippier and Leroy Sané (six each).
