The Jefferson Cup gets Inter effect. Inter Academy set to be the Sporting Partner of one of the main youth football tournaments in the United States

MILANO – The consolidation process for the Nerazzurri brand in the United States continues apace. On Thursday, the club’s involvement in the Jefferson Cup, one of the main American youth football tournaments, through the Inter Academy project was made official. Over 1,700 teams from all over the United States take part in the prestigious competition.

Inter Academy will be a Sporting Partner of the competition and the only European football club to partner with the tournament, which is further proof of Inter's commitment to supporting youth football development the world over and the ever-increasing attraction of the brand in the US market.

Inter Academy’s involvement in the Jefferson Cup is part of the Inter Academy Strikers project, opened last summer in collaboration with Richmond Strikers Soccer Club, one of the main sports organisations focused on youth football development in the United States.

The collaboration between the club and the Jefferson Cup will take shape in March, with a Nerazzurri legend set to attend the tournament along with a coach from the Inter Academy group.

The partnership was made official on Thursday in California during the United Soccer Coaching Conference, an event put together by the biggest group of football coaches in the world at which Inter was represented by a delegation led by Vice President Javier Zanetti and ‪Youth Sector Director Massimo Tarantino. The Nerazzurri will stage a technical demonstration on the pitch today and there will also be a meet-and-greet with Javier Zanetti for event participants, who will also get a chance to be snapped with the Italian Super Cup that Inter lifted in January 2023.

The visit by the Nerazzurri delegation to California also presents an opportunity to meet and engage with the many Interisti across the United States. A special evening in Los Angeles was dedicated to Inter Club members from all over North America as a celebration of their passion for the Nerazzurri in the company of Vice President Javier Zanetti.
