“All of our new players played well. It isn’t easy to come into a team like Inter; we have fixed principles and a style of play that we’ve been defining for two years. I’m happy with the new guys; everyone has settled in brilliantly. In general, the guys have done well despite the fact we’ve only recently returned. Yesterday, we had a big training session with a high workload. This morning, we put the finishing touches to our preparations out on the pitch, and we’ve just produced a good display. We were organised and created a lot of chances, but we should have made more of the opportunities that came our way. We should also have done better with the goal we conceded, but we’ll improve. Our fitness levels will get better, and we’ll improve both defensively and attacking-wise. We always want to win, but it isn’t always possible. When our physical condition gets better, we’ll become more composed in front of goal. Given the chances we had, we deserved to win, but Al-Nassr also played really well. They’re a team with many excellent players, and Arab football is really evolving.”
