Inter finished their league campaign with a performance full of determination and sacrifice, running out 1-0 winners away to Torino thanks to a goal from Marcelo Brozovic. This is what Simone Inzaghi had to say after the game:
"We'll rest tomorrow and then have an intense week. Thanks to the 56 matches we've played up to this point and the way we've grown, we've earned the chance to be involved in the next one. We wanted to win today; we owe it to the Club and our fans. We wanted to consolidate our position in the table and produce a professional performance, honouring the league season all the way. I also want to compliment Torino, who are a very well-drilled side who cause you problems. In the last few months, we've done some extraordinary things that have allowed us to achieve what we have.
"The Champions League final was a big dream, and we managed to reach it. Now, we'll play the match with our weapons but aware that we'll be up against a fantastic side. We'll need to do well and dig in together while also getting on the ball so they have a bit less possession. We'll need to be attentive and balanced. It's a huge match that we're really looking forward to, but I have to compliment the lads because playing a match like the one we were involved in today a week before the one that awaits wasn't easy.
"It's a fantastic feeling to have got to this point. There was a lot on the line, but now I can start to enjoy it more together with the Inter world. Before, we had a Coppa Italia final that we wanted to win and league matches to play. This group has been brilliant in terms of maintaining concentration levels. Now, there's one more to go."
