“We can still improve, and the three most important months of the season await. We can only be happy with how things are going, but now we need to focus on Atalanta and, in general, take it game by game. It’ll be difficult, and, with so many matches, our hope is that as many players will be involved as possible. The secret to this Inter side is hard work. I’ve been working with my staff for more than ten years; we know each other ever so well and work a lot. The Club always looks to support us, and we have players who display real willingness. For me, it’s really satisfying to see everyone make themselves available; just look at the goals today with the contributions of Audero, Bisseck and Asllani. Lautaro is doing very well and needs to keep it up. He’s enjoying a remarkable journey, and a coach can consider themselves fortunate when they have such a player at their disposal. Time will tell whether he reaches the record tally of 36 goals. There are still many games to play and points at stake, and we still need to improve and give fewer opportunities away. For example, I want to see Blin’s chance again. Lecce were tricky opponents, especially at their ground and after our match against Atletico. As regards Sanchez and Arnautovic, I didn’t need the last two matches to reassure me. Sanchez was brilliant today; he showed that he’s a champion, even if he didn’t score. However, he deserved a goal. Today, we had six players out, which isn’t easy for a coach, but our objective is to carry on winning. The lads need to stay focused.”
