Inter and Juventus drew 1-1 on matchday 13 in Serie A, with Lautaro Martinez bagging an equaliser after Vlahovic's opener. It's the Nerazzurri's first away draw in the Italian top flight this season following five wins on the road. With his team sitting on 32 points in the league, Simone Inzaghi had the following to say after the game:
“We know that it isn’t easy to score against Juventus because they defend well. After falling behind, the team remained focused and composed, and we scored a great goal after a really nice move. We could have done better for their goal, but we took the game to them. We didn’t create a lot in the second half, but Juventus are an excellent side. We’ll take this point, although I wouldn’t have done so on the eve of the game because we wanted to win. The team did what they needed to do. We controlled the game, keeping hold of possession. Juventus, Inter, AC Milan and Napoli are all teams that have been built to compete at the top of the table, and there are other sides who can try to push for a place in the top four. Now, we have Benfica and Napoli coming up, and we’re currently missing players. Bastoni, Pavard and Sanchez weren’t available this evening, while Cuadrado only trained on Thursday and Dumfries didn’t return in the best condition. It’s a difficult situation because we’re playing a lot of games and have a few problems to overcome. Taking to the pitch every 48 hours isn’t easy, but I’m lucky to have lads who always show great willingness and make themselves available to me and my staff. We’ve always rotated things when we’ve had to play three matches per week. Now, we’ll make our assessments in the hope that Sanchez will be back fit for our next game. With such a difficult calendar, we need to work even harder. ”
