Inter are in the Coppa Italia final and, once again, will head to Rome to play for the trophy. The Nerazzurri qualified after a hard-fought match and a courageous and organised display, with Federico Dimarco bagging the winner in the first half. This is what Coach Simone Inzaghi had to say after the game:
"It was a wonderful evening. It was an intense match, but my team deserved to make it through over the two legs. We're very happy because we wanted to return to Rome at all costs. At the moment, we've got ten games left this season, and we hope there will be one more. It was a great evening, and we're enjoying it together with the fans. Well done to the lads because playing this much isn't easy.
"We produced a great performance against high-quality players. We were compact and united, and those who came on also did their bit. Beyond making the final, I have really positive feelings about what we did. Acerbi? He's a player I know well; he has fantastic qualities on and off the pitch and, along with the others, is lending us a big hand. He and the rest of the team are having a fine season in the cup competitions."
Are Lautaro and Barella the different makers when they're up to speed? "They're two very important players with great qualities from a physical and technical perspective, but it's reductive to talk about individuals. The important thing is that, apart from Skriniar, I have everyone at my disposal right now. It's too easily forgotten that we were without the likes of Lukaku and Brozovic for months."
