“It was a stunning goal from Dimarco, and it’s something we’ve got used to seeing from him in training. He’s very capable of shooting from distance and possesses other qualities that make him a complete player. It’s the kind of goal you rarely see, and I congratulated him and the whole team. They need to keep it up. It arrived at a moment where the game was balanced. We’d created a few opportunities but didn’t add the finishing touch, and then this goal got us in front before Calha’s finish allowed us to experience the second half in a calmer manner. Every game in this league is difficult to prepare for; you come up against organised and well-prepared teams, just like Frosinone were this evening. Since the last international break, we’ve done really well in the six matches we’ve played and need to continue in this fashion. The team were really focused, alert and covered the spaces well. Frosinone are a side that like to play, and we prepared for the game aware of this. The first 16 games of this season have been very good. The lads are working well and together, which is our key word. They need to carry on in this manner because the road is a long one. There will be difficulties, but that is what will make the difference: we’ll have to overcome such moments as best we can together. We promise our fans and the Club that we want to play as many games as possible, just like last season and the season before that. We have fantastic directors and a president that is always by our side, and we’ve always tried to do our best when we’ve encountered difficulties. The lads feel a real sense of responsibility and always give their all for these wonderful fans, who always support us. It’s all about the group for these boys, and we’re very united.”
