“Despite it being important and well-deserved for how we prepared and played this match, it is only one win; it is one step on a leg journey because there is still a long way to go, Juventus and AC Milan will not give up an inch. It was a great night, in front of an extraordinary crowd, but it is only one step on our journey. I brought Klaassen on because, as I already said, he deserved more playing time; he has scored more than 100 goals in his career and is a really good guy. The game remained alive thanks to Szczesny’s saves, those from Arnautovic and Barella were incredible. I saw the team focused and we only gave them one breakaway in 95 minutes, Sommer stayed alert even if he had a very quiet night. We had to dig deep and hold on right until the end, but the team did well; they’ve been working very well now for seven months. There are still four intense months to go, with many matches to play, and we must keep it going; we have won 18 out of 22 in the league: it’s an outstanding record, but we only have four points more than Juventus and AC Milan are not far behind either. Tonight, it's difficult to find fault with the team, the result was tight in the end because the keeper kept them in in. We still have to work to do; I will sit down, look back and analyse the game to understand where we can improve. The aim is to take this belief into Europe, too. The Champions League is very important, and we want to try and repeat last year's feat.”
