Inzaghi: "We're getting into better physical shape and showed the right spirit. I'm very satisfied"

CESENA - Inter’s penultimate pre-season friendly finished in a draw at the Orogel Stadium Dino Manuzzi: Lyon went two up following goals from Lacazette and Cherki, but Lukaku and Barella’s finishes from Dimarco and Lautaro’s assists levelled matters in Cesena.

“It was a great test against an excellent side that we knew were further ahead in their preparations than us and who have great quality,” said the Nerazzurri Coach to Inter TV. “I saw what I was looking for; the team looked good on the pitch and gave me some excellent answers. We also created many chances in the first half.

“Our physical shape is improving and I saw the right spirit. The lads were a team and we tried to implement what we’ve been trying out in training, so I’m very satisfied. We knew that our pre-season tests would be tough, but this was what we wanted.”

There were plenty of Nerazzurri fans in the stands in Cesena, too: “We know we’ve got a great backing,” concluded the Coach. “During these friendlies, you can feel the passion of the fans, who accompanied us throughout last season, too. We’re working hard to try to bring them joy.”
