APPIANO GENTILE - After the success against Bologna, Inter prepare to play their last match of 2022 before the league break for the World Cup, the away match at the Gewiss Stadium against Atalanta, in the 15th matchday of Serie A. On the eve of the fixture against the Bergamo side, the words of coach Simone Inzaghi:
We end the year with a six-pointer in a historically difficult stadium against Atalanta, whose style of play resembles that of Inter: what will make the difference? "We know it will be a tough match, the difference will be the determination that the two teams show on the pitch. Both teams have had three days to prepare for the match in the best possible way".
You have not yet won a six-pointer, why is this? "Something is missing in the league: clearly we have to work more on individual incidents and details. In the Champions League, we managed to limit this problem in important matches, for example against Barcelona. We haven't managed it yet in the league: hopefully, we can do it for the first time tomorrow.
Have you thought of any adjustments in order to be able to deal differently with six-pointers and, more generally, away matches? Have you adopted a more cautious attitude? "The team will take the pitch to win every single game: after Juventus we had two days of analysis, then there was the excellent game against Bologna, but we must not look back. Let's think about tomorrow and Atalanta: it will be a very difficult challenge because we know that Bergamo is a very tough ground to play at".
