It's now become a habit: after opening the scoring against Frosinone, Davide Frattesi now has six goals to his name in the league this season. Out of all the midfielders across Serie A this campaign, no one has a better goals-per-minute average than the Nerazzurri No.16: one goal every 136.5 minutes. After finding the net in the first half, Frattesi also provided an assist for Marko Arnautovic after the restart. This is what the Italian had to say after tonight's victory:
“The celebrations had a slight impact on our last game, but that can happen. However, it’s important to avoid really poor showings, and we responded in the right way tonight. You have to train well, which then makes the difference when you’re called upon. You have to go at 1000 miles an hour and be professional. That’s why, for me, the secret is to give absolutely everything in training. Next year, I hope we replicate what we’ve done this year as a group, and I trust the Coach’s decisions. It’s always a real thrill to play at San Siro. There won’t be an open top bus next week, but it’s like a never-ending party when we play in front of our fans. ”

“We played really well. I’m happy, just like all my teammates are: everything went well this evening. During the week, we worked in the same way we always do, following the Coach’s instructions. We all knew what we had to do, and fantastic performances follow when you train well during the week. All my teammates have helped me. I’m still learning Italian and it isn’t always easy for a young player like me when I’m out on the pitch, but I’m improving. I think it’s been a very positive first season for me, one where we’ve won two titles. I wasn’t used to lifting trophies when we won the Supercoppa, but I’ll be ready for the Scudetto awards ceremony.”
