Six Nerazzurri players were in Euro 2024 qualifying action on Monday evening. It was certainly a positive evening for the Italian national team: Luciano Spalletti's Azzurri booked their place at the tournament next summer with a 0-0 draw against Ukraine. Five Nerazzurri players took to the pitch in Leverkusen: Acerbi, Barella, Dimarco and Frattesi played the entire 90 minutes, all making vital contributions to Italy's passage through, as did Matteo Darmian, who came on in injury time to shore things up in defence.
It was the same result for Kristjan Asllani's Albania, who had already sealed their spot at Euro 2024 in their previous outing, drawn, against Moldova. The Albanian National team drew 0-0 against the Faroe Islands: Asllani played the full 90 minutes in Tirana.
