It was an evening of important international fixtures for many Nerazzurri players with their respective national teams in Euro 2024 qualifying. There was a big win for Italy, who beat North Macedonia at the Olimpico in Rome on the penultimate matchday in Group C. Ahead of their crucial six-pointer with Ukraine on Monday, the Italian National team won 5-2 thanks to Matteo Darmian's header, which broke the deadlock, a Chiesa brace and goals from Raspadori and El Shaaraway. Italy are now second in Group C with 13 points, tied with the Ukrainians. In addition to Darmian, Francesco Acerbi, Nicolò Barella and Federico Dimarco also played the entire 90 minutes, the latter two also providing three assists, two for the midfielder and one for the winger. Davide Frattesi, who came on in the second half, played 34 minutes.
