A never-ending party. And it’s absolutely wonderful. With Inter having won the Scudetto on Monday with five games to spare, and with the Second Star illuminating the sky above Milano, the Nerazzurri faithful were itching to pack San Siro to embrace the Champions of Italy and fill the air with chants, applause and incredible noise.
And, of course, they wanted to see this wonderful, relentless, entertaining team in action once again. Just because they’ve achieved their goal, Inzaghi’s men aren’t about to stop. In today’s lunchtime kick-off, the Nerazzurri overpowered Torino in the second half, running out 2-0 winners thanks to a Hakan Calhanoglu brace. With four matchdays remaining, Inter have 89 points, 19 more than second and 24 more than third. Quite simply, devastating dominance.
