— May 18th 2023While Inter booked their ticket to the Champions League final with a victory over AC Milan, 23 Chinese fans got the chance to experience a series of unforgettable moments at San Siro and Inter HQ
23 Chinese fans lived a dream within a dream for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final between Inter and AC Milan. They received a unique and exclusive experience that saw them immersed in the Nerazzurri world and the Inter family during a historic moment for the Club: qualification to the Champions League final for the sixth time in Inter’s history.
The two days of exclusive activities began on Tuesday 16 May with a Meet&Greet at San Siro in the company of former Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia. The fans took photos and got autographs before witnessing the drama of Inter vs AC Milan, which was decided by Lautaro Martinez’s goal.
Among the Inter fans that got to take part in this exclusive experience were Inter Club members, as well as three special fans who bought auctioned shirts at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to raise funds to aid the people of Wuhan. A promise made was a promise kept and they were extended an invitation to come to Milano for the derby in the Champions League, a perfect circle given that the shirts that were auctioned three years ago were from the derby in February 2020, in which the Nerazzurri came from behind to win 4-2.
As well as the emotions on the pitch, the fans invited by Inter had the chance to take a tour of the Meazza the morning after the game and then concluded their visit to the city with a trip to Inter HQ on the Viale della Liberazione. There, they were given another exclusive experience, with a guided tour to some of the most iconic points of the Nerazzurri’s headquarters: the Heritage Room, the Trophy Room and the terrace where they met Club President Steven Zhang.
