With the final matches played on Tuesday 25 March, the international break came to an end and Inter's players representing their nations will all be returning to Milan soon. Simona Inzaghi's side will be preparing to get back underway with a positive start against Udinese at San Siro on Sunday 30 March at 18:00 CET. Eight Inter players featured for their nations throughout the international break: throughout UEFA Nations League games and World Cup qualifications in Asia and Europe, the Nerazzurri reached 1030' minutes of play time. The international window saw some players stand out for their nations: Mehdi Taremi scored two goals against Uzbekistan, goals that mathematically qualified Iran for the 2026 World with two games still left to play. Yann Bisseck also had an unforgettable break, who in the second leg of the quarter-finals, made his Germany debut against Italy, playing his first 13 minutes for this nation. Benjamin Pavard was the only Inter player to have been selected and to have not played at all: the French defender played in neither legs of France's Nations League clash against Croatia
ITALY

Italy's Nicolò Barella, Alessandro Bastoni and Davide Frattesi gave it all right until the end in the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals, with a spectacular comeback against Germany in Dortmund. However, Luciano Spalletti's side were eliminated by Germany following a loss and a draw. Alessandro Bastoni played the most minutes of any player against the Germans, playing the full 180. Nicolò Barella played 173 minutes, while Frattesi came off the bench in both games, playing 52 minutes in total. Following elimination from the Nations League, Italy will be getting started in World Cup qualifications: the Azzurri are in Group I alongside Norway, Israel, Estonia and Moldova.

ALBANIA
Kristjan Asllani
A win and a draw for Kristjan Asslani with Albania. The Nerazzurri midfielder played all 180 minutes in the World Cup qualifications against England and Andorra. In the second match, Asllani was one of the key players in Albania's win, assisting Manaj's opening goal. Albania currently sit second in Group K on three points, behind England on maximum points from two games.

AUSTRIA
Marko Arnautović
Marko Arnautovic's Austria lost in their Nations League play-off against Serbia in the tie for a place in League A. The Nerazzurri forward played the full ninety in the first game, setting up Gregoritsch's goal. In the second game Arnautović came on after the break, playing the full 45. With this result, Austria didn't manage promotion in League A and in the next edition of UEFA Nations League and they will keep playing in League B.

GERMANY
Yann Bisseck
A first-team debut for Yann-Aurel Bisseck for Germany: the Nerazzurri defender was selected for the first time in his career for the German national team. After staying on the bench for the first-leg at San Siro against Italy, Bisseck made his debut against Germany in the return-leg in Dortmund, coming onto the pitch in the 77th minute, replacing Rudiger. Yann played his first 13 minutes with the German national team: a debut which was celebrated with qualification into the Nations League final four.

IRAN
Mehdi Taremi
Mehdi Taremi played 90 minutes for Iran in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The Nerazzurri forward, who stayed on the bench for the full game against the United Arab Emirates, played the entire game against Uzbekistan. Mehdi scored two goals, the first with a sensational volley, which led Iran to qualification for the 2026 World Cup. The draw against Uzbekistan brought Iran up to 20 points in Group A: they have mathematically secured qualifications in advance thanks to Taremi's goals.

TURKEY
Hakan Calhanoglu
180 minutes, one goal and two wins for Hakan Calhanoglu. The Nerazzurri midfielder, and Turkey captain, led his side to a win against Hungary in the League A play-offs. After the 3-1 win at home, Calhanoglu opened the scoring from the spot in the second-leg. With these two wins, Turkey were promoted to League A for the first time in their history, while Hungary were relegated to League B.
