Inter Campus Romania: an important clash on the outskirts of Bucharest

The Italian Ambassador in Romania, Alfredo Durante Mangoni, took part in the inauguration of the "Inter Campus Bucharest" programme aimed at children of the Ferentari area of the Romanian capital, together with the Mayor of Sector 5 Bucharest, Cristian Popescu Piedone.

In collaboration with Fundatia Parada, the ongoing activities in Slatina and Ramnicu Valcea have been extended to Buchaerest's Sector 5, supporting around 50 children from the Ferentari area suffering from serious social disadvantage. Many of them come from institutions that house children without parental figures.

During the event, Ambassador Alfredo Durante Mangoni underlined that "sport is an amazing vehicle for growth and development for a person and the entire community and can aid social inclusion. In this vein, the Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador in Bucharest remain committed to supporting and promoting Sporting Diplomacy initiatives capable of positive impact on society through sport.
