MILANO – This season, Inter will once again take to the pitch alongside ASD Sporting 4E, a Special Team that plays in the FIGC's Paralympic and Experimental Football Division, to support the principle of "Football for all abilities", which is part of UEFA’s 2030 sustainability strategy.
The Club thus renews its commitment to raising awareness of understanding disability-related issues and ensuring the dignity, rights and well-being of people with disabilities, all the while highlighting the importance of football as a powerful tool to promote social gathering.
Today, at the Suning Training Centre in Appiano Gentile, a delegation from ASD Sporting 4E received match kits and equipment for the 2023/24 season in the presence of Vice President Javier Zanetti, CEO Sport Giuseppe Marotta, Chief Sport Officer Piero Ausilio, Coach Simone Inzaghi, as well as some players and technical staff members.
The doors of the Nerazzurri's home were also opened for representatives of the National Board for the Protection and Assistance of the Deaf (ENS) and the Institute for the Blind of Milano. This campaign, the Club is aiming to further integrate differently abled fans through radio commentary for blind and visually impaired spectators, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Institute for the Blind of Milano and CAFE (Centre for Access to Football in Europe, a UEFA CSR partner), as well as through the LIS project, which sees the Club work together with ENS and Lombardy Regional Council and also involves the translation of pre-match conferences into sign language.
These initiatives are part of the Corporate Social Responsibility activities that the Club is committed to carrying out in Milano and beyond. In doing so, Inter pays special attention to the value of inclusion, which has characterised the Club since its foundation. Through concrete action, the Nerazzurri's projects aim to promote integration and social cohesion and fight against all forms of discrimination, starting from sports environments.
