— Apr 21st 2023TBILISI – Inter are continuing to run initiatives to celebrate the presence of the Nerazzurri brand in various countries all around the world, with a delegation led by vice president Javier Zanetti heading to Tbilisi for an event linked to the Inter Academy Georgia project and to meet local supporters.
Inter’s presence in Georgia allows the Academy project to come to fruition locally, having been rolled out in 2021 off the back of the partnership with New Vision University, the Georgian institution that shares with Inter Academy its commitment to education, not just academically but also as well-rounded people. The project has developed significantly in recent years, with over 500 children signed up from U6 to U16 level, which has also triggered major growth in the club’s fan base in the local area.
The two days in Georgia kicked off with a special training session led by Javier Zanetti at the New Vision University for the 500 children signed up to the Academy. The Inter vice-president also met the media and attended the traditional gala dinner with key local institutions.
The journey to Tbilisi also brought with it the chance to meet local Inter supporters: on Saturday 22 April, Zanetti held an exclusive Meet & Greet session with 100 members of Inter Club Armenia, Inter Club Azerbaijan and Inter Club Georgia, the latter of which came into being a year ago thanks to a synergetic relationship with the Inter Academy project.
The Inter delegation on site in Tbilisi is also set to spend part of the day at the Italian embassy in Georgia for institutional matters and to discuss potential business development opportunities.
