He was focused, he was tenacious, and a sheer competitive spirit ran through him. He was a defender who didn’t give strikers any space, and he combined excellent positioning with tactical intelligence. Samuel wore the Inter shirt for nine seasons, scoring 17 goals in 236 appearances. Through his charisma, he played a crucial role in the changing room as Inter won five Scudetto titles, three Coppa Italia trophies, the Supercoppa Italiana four times, the Champions League and the Club World Cup during his time at the Club.
